The sender
In the event that the beneficiary is the holder of an account at BCR, the transfer of amounts from abroad can be performed directly into this account, as follows:
- from abroad, the depositor visits either of the SMITH&SMITH agents and communicates the name of the account's holder (can even be the depositor if he owns an account) and the IBAN number of the beneficiary's account;
- in the event that the beneficiary of the transfer is not a customer of the bank or if he doesn't wish to collect the amount transferred in his account, the sender will submit an ID to the SMITH&SMITH agent abroad, stating the surname and name of the beneficiary, and he will receive a unique identification code, based on which the transaction is performed.
The beneficiary
- can collect the amount received, usually, within 1 - 24 hours after it was sent from abroad;
- will receive the amount in RON, USD or EUR;
- can be a resident or not;
- in the event that the transfer is made into the account of the beneficiary, the money can be fully or partially withdrawn at any time, by the holder of the account or by the persons authorized by the holder of the account.
