Here we are again with a new newsletter designed to build bridges over social distancing. This is what we have prepared for this week: an insight into storytelling and their lessons for life; three materials about the need for lifelong learning and key competencies for years to come; various ways to maintain a high level of vital energy and some meaningful conversations with two of our colleagues – Vlad Ponta and Mircea Idriceanu.

However, this proves to be difficult sometimes, when days go by and you’re involved in repetitive work. As a student, it was easy for us to learn new things, in fact this was our only task. What is the starting point? Pisa test results
Pisa test results have been hugely discussed without people actually knowing why they are important and what they mean. Apart from the three main fields – reading, mathematics and science, Pisa tests examine abilities/competencies which are specific to the 21st century, such as "cooperating to solve problems” (PISA 2015) or "global competencies" (PISA 2018). The two most recent Pisa tests reveal the urgency of developing vital abilities for the next decade, such as the ability to solve problems, to organize our knowledge and to cooperate with others.
