Characteristics

Credit card with CIP issued in RON under MasterCard logo. Can be used on the territory of Romania and abroad, wherever the MasterCard logo is posted. The credit line is granted for an indefinite period and the plastic validity is 3 years.

This card may be used for:

  • payments at accepted traders
  • payments via internet, by enrolling the card into 3-D Secure directly on the www.bcr.ro website
  • cash withdrawal from ATMs (of BCR or other local and overseas banks)
  • payment*, via BCR ATMs, of current invoices for utilities/services (electricity, water, gas, sanitation, fixed and mobile telephony, cable TV etc.), contingent upon the agreements concluded by the bank with the utility/service providers
  • recharging cell phone cards (Vodafone, Orange) at BCR ATMs
  • contactless recharging of RATB transport cards at BCR ATMs in Bucharest

Eligibility conditions:

  • Cardholders: net revenues higher than or equal to 750 RON/month
  • Age:
    • for unsecured card: 18 - 64 years (on credit card application)
    • for guaranteed card: 18 - 74 years (on credit card application)

Credit limit:

  • minimum 500 RON
  • maximum 20,000 RON with or without securities / maximum 100,000 RON with securities

Limit use of credit line:

  • The maximum cash withdrawal limit: the holder can withdraw cash up to a maximum of 40% from the line of credit provided by the bank not to withdraw more than 2,000 EUR / day up to 20 transactions per day
  • The maximum credit line usage / month: the amount of card transactions in one month can not exceed your credit line granted by bank card account

Repayment methods:

  • Automatic free of charge debiting of the minimum payment amount into a RON current account with BCR debit card
  • Bank transfer
  • Invoice Payment service at ATM (based on agreement executed between the bank and the BCR debit card holder)
  • Use of BCR Canale Alternative (Alternative Channels) operation service (Click 24 Banking BCR andAlo 24 Banking BCR)
  • Deposits of cash at any BCR business unit/Multifunctional Machine (MFM)

Interests

BCR charges a variable interest level: the annual current interest is quarterly reviewed, that is, in the first banking day of January, April, July and October of each year, and set as follows:

  • in the case of cards issued based on income: ROBOR 3M amount set in the last banking day of December, March, June and September, rounded up at 2 decimals + 19.5% margin
  • in the case of cards secured by collateral deposit: ROBOR 3M amount set in the last banking day of December, March, June and September, rounded up at 2 decimals + 14.5% margin

Documents

  • copy of IC/IB of applicant, authorized user, if applicable
  • copy of IC/IB of spouse (if applicable), co-payer (if applicable)
  • documents certifying the earning of income by the borrower and, if applicable, by co-payer (salary certificate, copy of labor book – first and last 2 pages, pension card, documents certifying the revenues from the assignment of the use of goods, from dividends, deposits, interest on these deposits or other sources
  • tax sheet related to previous year (original or copy), carrying the employer’s official stamp, as the case may be
  • utility invoice (from the previous month or at most 3 month prior to the credit request date)

The issuance of a credit card secured by collateral deposits does not require the documents certifying the income, the tax sheet and utility invoice.
